1929 Ford Sedan Delivery

Painted in red oxide by owner, the body has a 3” roof chop and features ’29 Ford front and rear lights, mohair roof material, steel front wings, steel splash aprons, original ’29 running boards, and recovered and new stainless trims. Glass supplied by Ron Sherwood of Tricki Trucks.
Interior features home-made bench seat, “English blanket” fabric, home-made steering column, Moto Lita steering wheel, home-made brake pedal, Classic Instruments’ HotRod-series gauges, Lokar shifter, Wallmart ignition switch with Pioneer 6-speaker audio system.
Chassis is the remains of a Custom Car project Model A with the rear rails chopped off and zeed 3”, Vintage Chassis Works I-beam front axle. Home-made 4-bar, VW bus steering box, home-made steering arms. Ford Transit stub axles (king pin inclination altered on axle). Mk2 Jaguar rear axle with LSD 3.5/1 and home-made 4-bar, Spax coilovers, quick-change cover, Ford Granada rear drum brakes. Ford Mondeo front callipers, Ford Cortina master cylinder/servo, chromed and painted Ford Rosso red.
Drivetrain starts with Ford 1969 302cu.in small block (machine work by Toovey Race Engines). Forged pistons, shot peened rods, competition cams, Ford Motorsport push rods, roller rockers, World Products Windsor cylinder heads, S&S shorty headers, Mallory distributor converted to electronic ignition, Edelbrock performer rpm inlet manifold port matched, Edelbrock 600 cfm carb, C4 transmission, up-rated and modified clutch packs, B&M shift kit, deep sump, high stall converter, trans cooler.
Wheels and tyres are 6/14 & 8/15 Halibrand Sprints with 165/14 Uniroyal @ 255/70/15.
Sherpa fuel tank, Walker Cobra radiator, home-made exhaust system, Edelbrock rpm stainless mufflers, H-pipe, mega-phone stainless tips, home-made wiring loom (from Escort van).
The vehicle started as a project car purchased from Custom Car magazine, and the sedan body was sold off for parts. Rodshop sedan delivery body was a birthday present from the owner’s wife!
